Grove Irish Dancers

Love. Loyalty. Friendship.

                                      About Us

The school was established in 1989 by Elaine Day. We teach Irish dancing with both modern and traditional twists, incorporating new steps and tricks, with the traditional aspects that are key when learing to Irish Dance. We compete in competitions and perform in shows and exhibitions, which gives the dancers a chance to show friends, family and other spectators what they have learnt and how they have improved. Competitions also help build confidence and pride within dancers, which ultimatly improves their dancing. However, we do not force dancers to compete in competitions, it is entirely their choice.

Over the many years our school has been running we have won many awards, including being 11 & Under 8-hand figure champions of 2012 at the Celtic National Championships.

In 2015 we have also achieved 1st to 5th at CAID British Open Championship, CRDM British Open, CAID Europeans and CAID feis in solo competitions, and we are very proud of our hardworking dancers.

We encourage dancers to do their best, whilst having fun hence the reason why we try to create a relaxed atmosphere, as well as push the dancers to reach their full potential!

We are part of the Celtic Association of Irish Dancing. Dancers can compete in individual competitions, where they dance by themselves, against other people the same age and about the same ability.  We also compete at CRDM and independant feis.
